I have been teaching at UW - Eau Claire since 2006, covering courses in undergraduate statistics (introductory and upper-level) and Master’s-level data mining and programming. My research is in data-mining techniques, with a focus on penalized regression. My recent (last ~ 7 years) work has been centered on time series and sports analytics.
aBa (אבא) is a math professor based in Eau Claire, WI. He is from Iowa (a place on Planet Urth), but his original galactic home is the star Sirius in Canis Major. He enjoys acid house music, riding his overly decorated bike (Boy BikeTM), loves teaching of course and working on math research 😊 with his numerous collaborators.
